The Creative Decisions Foundation was established by Thomas and Rozann Saaty to promote more rational decision-making by people. Thomas Saaty is the creator of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for prioritization in decision-making. The AHP allows the decision-maker to include intangibles along with tangible numerical data from many sources to make a decision. The Foundation sponsors education, research and software development in advanced methods of decision-making involving the AHP. Of particular interest are conflict resolution, group decision-making on societal issues by incorporating strength of preference rather than the yes-no traditional way of voting, purchasing and resource allocation decisions for private and governmental organizations, and decision-making over the internet.

Thomas L. Saaty is also the creator of these generalizations of the AHP: the Analytic Network Process (ANP) for decision-making with dependence and feedback, and the Neural Network Process (NNP) for neural decision processing. The Foundation gives recognition and preference to educators, authors and practitioners who work in these areas.
